ya know, until the other day i never realized how something so simple like a hug, or just listening to someone could make such a differance! i had recieved a letter from an old friend who at the time we met, had been to hell and back. his letter stated how he was doing well, finished collage, got a great job that paid well, a house and a wife, and two little boys. he was so grateful for my friendship way back when..... he finished with a couple words i cant forget as long as i live:

Thanks for being there when i needed it, i owe everything i have in life to GOD and you.

[u]all i offered him 12 years ago? a hug and an ear.

so i guess what i am saying, is...... sometimes just being there for someone can make all the difference
