No, they released another iPad (the iPad 4) along side the "mini". It has the exact same size and screen resolution as the iPad 3, but it's CPU and GPU have almost double the specs of the iPad 3

Like the reply above says, they released the 4 at the same time as the Mini, and everyone (read: 3 whiny bloggers) got all butthurt because it was only 6 months or so after they released the 3 so their precious wasn't the latest and greatest as long as they had expected it to be.

Personally I think the iPad3 and iPad4 are both pretty spif, and given they both have the hardware required to use the Pogo Connect I'd be happy owning either. (and I sort of do, given I have a 3 at work and a 4 at home)
