It'll give me a chance to find a job. A good one where 2D isn't regulated to poor storytelling for two-year-olds and stoners. Not that I have anything against the young or inebriated (though I really, really hate weed. I'm just so terribly unimpressed with the majority of american 2D animation right now.

aNYWAYS, have you seen the making of videos for it?
Well they actually had to create entirely new technology to make Paperman so they kinda.
Did need superior animation with computers.
Because they had to create the programs to mesh the CG and 2D animation.
But yeah I would say I can feel the same in a fear of snuffing out 2D animation. While CG and 3D is amazing, so is 2D, and it's also the roots of the others so it'd be a disgusting shame if it was phased out of our artistic workings!
Paperman would be an example of the two forms getting along very well.
That was gorgeous. I really hope the fact that this has gained so much notoriety has an influence on the animation world. Ive been a bit bitter since CG pretty much took over for feature length animation. I appreciate it for what it is, but its lost its novelty and i think its time for some balance and diversity.
