Is fustrating to no end, I lost a werewolf where I already had +1strenght, dodge, block and tackle

wouldn't be fun without the tragedy of mishaps in there

I bought this game a while ago but never bother installing it until recently, and I'm having quite a bit of fun with it as well. Like you said it can be insanely frustrating, but it's fun.
I just wish that it would give you a bit more information sometimes before you decide on an action. Like with throwing, it shows what you need to roll for a successful throw but it does nothing to inform you what you need to roll right after for the player to successfully catch that throw.

Yeah its fun as hell i have Dark Elves edition

long time player, of both the board game version and the computer one. I have legendary but don't have the new one with 11 extra teams. pity, but great fun

also I've got an amazing Dark Elf team that can brute force it's way through most teams
