if the Wii you got have GameCube Controller ports and GameCube suport at all then you need an adapter to be able to use your Classic Controller with a GameCube Game

I haven't seen any ports for a GC controller on it.

if it dossent have ports for GameCube controllers (Slim model) then you cant even play gamecube on it

Yes all wiis can play with gamecube controllers with the old classic gamecube games and some wii games

I think you missed my question. I want to know if I can play Gamecube games with the classic controller. You know, the one where the face buttons are mapped like an SNES.

I'm honestly not sure, since whenever you play a GameCube game, all native Wii functions disable themselves, and it responds only to the GameCube inputs, as well as physically pressing any of the buttons on the Wii. That includes the Wii Remote, which has the Classic Controller connector built into it.

If there is an adapter, then yes; otherwise, I wouldn't know. I never liked the Classic Controller though; it just feels awkward to use even for situations where its use was intended and optimized.

Well, I have the classic pro, so it's shapped better. I just don't want to have to go out and buy extra crap in case I don't have to.

No, you can't. There's a flap on the top of the console that opens up to reveal four Gamecube ports, unless Ninty redesigned the Wii and removed them. http://i.imgur.com/uD6UxHa.jpg
