Opinions

This will kinda be like a self-administered Q&A thing. You could take these and answer them on your own, I'm a little curious to see people's opinions on these.
How do you feel about Pre-pose commissions/auctions?:
It depends. When it's a commission it's alright if it's cheaper than a normal commission rate, considering that the artist is reducing the amount of input that the commissioner had on the piece. As an auction it would depend on the quality of artwork the artist normally puts out. If they do most of their commissions on an auction basis then it's understandable, but if they have solid pricing on normal commissions then I feel a pre-pose image should be a special offer, not to be auctioned off. As far as the characters involved, if I were to commission one I'd put one of my bisexual female characters in there only, as the chance her partner for the pic may be male or female. However, being involved in a relationship I really don't think that I could do that in an auction and risk the other character not being on of hers.
How do you feel about adoptables?
It's a scam. Well, in a way, some people can't seem to find their niche as a furry, and some seem to collect characters. I just feel that a character isn't rightfully an intellectual product of a person unless they came up with it themselves. Paying someone to come up with a character for you, or to use a character that they had come up with for your own somewhat cheats a person of the creation process. I'm also starting to get concerned that someone might accuse me of stealing an adoptable character with a character that I had in Roleplay or in stories for years. I acknowledge a fact that characters are not protected under copyright law, and to lay legal claim to them you need to pay the patent office of your country to submit them under a trademark. The average person cannot do this unless they plan to make money with such characters.
