Things like that remind me how lucky I am to have the most supportive and understanding family ever. Hope things work out for you and your foot though. :D

I tried to make things work with them. But they're close-minded towards anything. They've gossiped that my hubby, Haru, controls everything that I do, just because I don't do things they tell me to do. They called me demanding that I watch some of my little cousins who are terrible and do that whole "You're not my mom so I don't have to listen to you!" thing. And it drives me nuts. But not only that, they don't tell me WHY. They just said, because we need a babysitter at the last minute. In other words, we don't want to pay you. Its like their signature for wanting free babysitting. I tell them no. That I'm busy. I get a call the next day to get yelled at because I wouldn't help my family members, because my uncles wife's dad died. She didn't say anything when I asked why. If they would have told me, "My father is in the hospital and I don't want my kids to see him like that." then yeah, I would have said yes. I would have endured these terrible children while they mourned. But they didn't. So my entire family starts gossiping that Haru is controlling me, that he told me to say no. Because of that, I didn't go to our Christmas gathering. I spent Christmas with Haru's family. And my family got offended.

Long story short, my family is filled with simpletons that dislike not getting what they want from anyone else.
