Keep going! It's not impossible to quit smoking and stay away from cigarettes, even without the patch or whatever else that is supposed to help. My step mom quit cold turkey. Keep it up!

It never stops for me. its like a thorn that is stuck in you till you pull it out. I had already quit 1 year before. and for that entire year it never stopped. the craving never stops.

I wish you the best of luck. I've had several aunts and uncles that have successfully stopped. Some, though not all of them, because of health problem hitting them. It's going to be hard, but it is certainly worth doing. You have my best wishes and confidence you can manage.

I quit a few years back, from pack a day to cold turkey. Gum and cough drops help, just as a distraction when you get a craving. i STILL get cravings, and thats how I deal with 'em

Honestly I've never smoked, I don't want the addiction. <.<

My Uncle has been a chain smoker ever since he was 14 years old, he is 52 now. His peak was 16 packs per day. He was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and survived it, quit smoking for all of 3 weeks, then started back up agan. He is now back to smoking about 8 packs a day, and after about a year, his cancer came back. He found out because he coughed up blood with chunks in it, the chunks turned out to be pieces of his lungs.

Now, his cancer is absolutely terminal, and he has less than a month to live. You all must learn something from this. My Uncle gave up his best years because of his addiction to smoking, and now when he is finally looking down the barrel, he now knows what he has lost.

Stop smoking, please. You have my support, all I can give. I have failed my Uncle, but I hope I don't fail anyone else.

My brother has been trying to quit. It's a hard thing to do.
But it has many good up-sides if you succeed!
You will use up less money that you earn, with cigarette prices being sky-high, and you'll avoid medical complications and all the time and trouble that takes up.
I hope you succeed! My brother is doing well, so I'm sure you'll do good too.

Best of luck Jard. I hope it's easier and less painful for you than it was for me when I quit smoking. Started smoking when I was 12 and didn't quit till I met Dani almost 5 years ago. I know, probably hadn't been smoking as long as you have, but starting at such a young age it literally becomes part of who you are. That, and four packs a day didn't help much either.

How many cigs you smoked a day? A pack a day? Two?

Still, I really hope you have it easier than I did bro. It...sucks going through withdrawal...sucks balls, to be exact. Still felt it two years after quiting.
