Fur Meet Alabama?

Did you ever see the frightened ones?

Been feeling some serious stress from work, and a bad case of depression from that stress.
Having only a couple local friends, I am fully aware I need to get out and meet more people.
I would really like to start up a local fur meet for North East Alabama.
I live in Calhoun County, and the major cities here are Anniston, Oxford, Alexandria, Ohatchee, Jacksonville (Go JSU!) and Peidmont. Near by we have Heflin and Talladega, among other places.
Even the Iron City, Birmingham, is only an hours drive.
So I want to know, how many Furs are there near by enough who would want to meet up on a monthly basis, or maybe 2-3 months?
I think it would be really cool to get a bunch of us Furs together and roam the towns.
There can be a lot of stuff to do around here y'all. Who wants to help set it up?

You might do better to go have a look at some of the forums actually based in America (Furmorphed is based in Cambridgeshire, UK) as they'll have threads about organising meets. Furmorphed itself is too sparsely scattered around the world to organise meets of more than 4 people. Your problem on FA is you're limiting your journal post's reach to those who follow you.

I just meant it's a good idea to ask this question on forums, and was noting that FM may lack an audience in your local area so other forums might be more use for this.
