Overall I'm feeling a bit better about my style "dilemma". There were some good points posed, and some not so good. For example a lot of people were saying that being varied is good since you can draw you know...in a variety of styles. Now, some people said drawing too varied can lead people confused as to what the fuck are you doing you crazy omg.

That being said, it's really difficult to try and find a proper style without being "original". Everyone is influenced by others, so reffing off of other people's styles IS OKAY but copying is not. I'm not sure how to really explain it? Like, I ref off of certain people for anatomy or for a certain pose (HAH BECAUSE I DRAW SO MANY POSES AMIRITE....GUYS....GAIS.) But um...yeah.

Same with coloring styles and such. For example, for cell shading and hard lines i ref off of squeedge, BUT when I do that i draw like squeedge, not ink and color like her. That's the real problem.

When I get a ref sheet from someone for me to draw for them I always seem to like....incorporate the style of the ref sheet JUST A LITTLE BIT since that is what I'm drawing, you know? Commissions are basically when one person pays you to interpret their character in YOUR style....idk..
