im really meh about it. its nothing really fancy unless you want to acknowledge it as such, its far from Xmas and other major holidays. one of the more forgettable ones. if not entirely

I think Valentine's Day is way too commercialized.

You shouldn't need one specific day to show your mate how much you love them, it should be an every day thing.

I think that the idea is that there is legitimate reason to be opposed to Valentine's Day as a holiday. Specifically, having one day where having a relationship ought to be considered special cheapens the idea of the relationship as a whole by implying that the relationship is less important other days of the year. I am not typically a romantic person, but that is how I see it.

That said, most people who do an Anti-Valentine's thing are probably just bitter about being single. If you are serious about opposing something that is mainstream and commercialized... ignoring it is a much more reasonable response. XP

I just spend the day amusing myself with the fact that the inspiration for the holiday has nothing to do with what the modern holiday is about. And some cheap candy never hurts. |D

Well, hopefully you can eventually find a reason to celebrate it. I know I did, defying all predictions, so I'm sure that you will, sooner or later. If not, take advantage of the upcoming sale on chocolates. =^.^=
