If you could spare a minute...

I'd like to take a moment to talk about Valentines Day and the recent negativity associated with it (aka: Singles Awareness Day).
When was it ever stated that Valentines Day was specifically intended for couples only? You can still celebrate by showing love to those around you, or who have/had a significant impact in your life. Treat your parents to something special, play some games with your siblings, or have some quality time with your best friend.
A wise man once said, "before you can love others, you must first learn to love yourself." Use today as an opportunity to spoil yourself. Everyone deserves a me-day at some point!
Just because it's Valentines Day doesn't mean relationship statuses can't be changed. That girl you've had a crush on for the entire school semester? Now's a great time to ask her out. Be creative with it, though! Today's a special day, so make it so for her (or him)!
And for those who already have plans to celebrate with a significant other, keep in mind that today isn't the only day you're supposed to show your affection. For you two, "Valentines Day" should be everyday!
With that said, Happy Valentines Day, everyone!
