It's not because I'm always alone on Valentine's Day. It's not because I see nothing but gift art between mates saying that they love each other in sappy ways (Even my brother did this, which makes my stomach turn but isn't the reason). It's not even because I don't ever get anything from anyone other than myself for the occasion. No, I hate it for a completely different reason. I hate it because people have to set aside a day to tell people how much they love them, when they should do it every damn day of the year. It's a pointless holiday. Love shouldn't be given one day a year. It should be given every day, for your entire life. If even one person sees this that didn't before, I'll have felt this journal was a success.
