Man... Life is nuts right now. It's been nuts, and for a while will most likely continue on this crazy path. But that's when you need stuff to keep you sane more than ever, right?
So first of all, I got laid off. Yeah, one year in they canned my entire programming group. I guess FA's down came at a good time, so I could hunt jobs without distracting myself too much. Bright side, I have a new job! It's better than my last one in both pay and benefits. Down side, I have to move to Houston. So right now, Mere and I bumming spots in friends and relative's houses around the city while our house is for sale. So things should turn out alright, just a bit of chaos.
The worst I've had to go through is the loss of my cat, Oberon. We'd been packing to move and I found him in the bathroom, unable to breathe. I rushed him to the vet, and after getting a radiogram, I found out his lungs were failing. And that most of his life they had been working at only 50%. He was just a strong cat. The vet recommended euthenasia because, despite the fact she stopped his attack, she told me he would continue to have them regularly and they would get worse. They let us spend the night with him and the next morning and then we had to let him go. I miss my Ober-cat.
I'm trying to get things back in order, brought the sewing machine with us, so I'll be back into projects soon. Keep after me and note me if we were working on stuff. I wanna get back on track.

And so far Houston has been pretty good to me. Despite the horrible horrible traffic.
