Insomnia is a harsh companion to keep. It often interferes with me socially, in spite of my best intentions. It was there that I learned that "Jew Wario", a longtime member of the site, had left to go solo, and found my way to his site, youcanplaythis.com.

I'm quite glad I did. While I enjoyed the few JW videos I watched on thatguywiththeglasses, I never really saw that much of his work. Checking out his site I got to see just how much I liked it. There was something else, though...I discovered a new series of videos he's begun, called "You Can Cook This". Those who know me know that I love to cook. So I checked this out. He shows easy, affordable Japanese recipes that anyone can make. As luck would have it, a mix-up involving looking for bargains and being in the wrong aisle at the right time led to my usual supply of white rice being replaced with some Japanese sticky rice. A few minutes of watching videos later, I now know how I can use this to make onigiri, or Japanese rice balls. Hooray!
