It's not that weasyl is great it's just that... the admins on FA are really skeezy.

I mean... I think the weasyl admins are really skeezy but too but I don't think they ever tried to cover up rape or hide dogfuckers from the police.

I don't really like Weasyl, but a lot of people are leaving cause the beta is open and cause of a journal being posted around about a stalker and some fur leaving cause the FA admins are being silly about it all.

Yeah... a lot of people just can't stand to be here knowing the site's owner has a previously-demonstrated relaxed attitude about sexual predators on FA (back when FA got hacked and his private notes were made public there were several in there where he either warned or helped animal-rapers keep under the radar AND told a girl who had been assaulted by a popufur to basically not make waves by going public with it), this is the last straw and since Weasyl just went public, they've decided to migrate.

my little cousin was raped and murdered by a predator that was stalking her, so it really strikes me hard
i don't want to leave FA 'cause i do like the layout of the site and i have a lot of work done here
but it really throws me off that the admins would be so nonchalant about something so serious
they themselves must not take it seriously at all, and that's just awful and ignorant

I myself have been sexually assaulted by a fur. I had known him online for years.. YEARS.. and trusted him. He moved to my hometown, we started hanging out, and he took utter advantage of me. :/

I find it completely disgusting that evidence of stalking and threats to expose a user's IRL identity aren't met IMMEDIATELY with a ban.

I personally am not leaving FA (Though the staff continues to disappoint me about quite a lot of things, the latest happenings being the tip of the iceburg), but I can't fault anyone that is. Other people've already linked/explained what happened, but I'm chalking it up to that as well as the fact that FA's layout/site design quite literally has not changed in years, so a fresh/better quality layout is appealing to people who've been wanting a change for a while now.

its cause people are taking a situation that isn't very relevant to FA and should be dealt with IRL, exploding it in to something crazy, and instead of fixing the problem everyone is just jumping ship.
