Why is it no matter what choices I make as a Chaircritter someone somehow gets hurt?. I can only do so much and I apologize for not being as good as folks would like me to be, and heaven knows I would love to be that perfect but sadly, I am just me. And yes i know I am making enemies by doing what I can, and that is not what I am here for, but no matter what seems I always rub someones rubarb wrong. I wish I knew what the supposed perks were of the job cause it really is costing me a few folks.
Why has MLP become the hotness of the fandom atm?. Its even stronger then Turtle Power and yes I am THAT old to be a teen when that was the hotness ;). Or is it something in the darker times something this innocent, cute, and carefree seems to be what the fandom has been hunting for a while?. I still miss turtle power and always had a crush on Splinter as the wise yet handsome leader of a real odd quartet of mutants. maybe if the turtles has 20% more cuter?.
Have fursuits become TOO complex?. I am seeing and hearing more tales of lighting, chiller packs, animatronic tails and ears, chillerpacks, fans, etc etc. Its rewarding to see more folks with the cash for this stuff but like a car is there a limit to how far one should *bling* your suit?. Are we spending more time and effort on a boss suit yet neglect the fact if you can not act, or develop a personality with it, it sadly stays just a costume. I see lots of nice suits coming out though and I hope it continues.
Computer gaming seems to be closing upon its end for good home computer games. Check how hard finding any decent computer games at EB lately?. Or see the flood of free to play but PAY to unlock anything useful games?. I just hope its a dry spell but seeing how tiny the game spots are in the stores but the loads of gamebox type games, or the rise in phone games, makes me worry for a dwindling gameshare. I will not even comment on the rise of *rent to own* games where all you get is a digital copy with a very limited restore function in case you get any issues with the game or your computer which sells more digital copies.
Just the ramblings of a greymuzzle so take it for what its worth, and as always feedback is appreciated

As for the MLP thing, i just blow brain fuses and short circuit when ever i try to comprehend why some adult hairy men can have such a strong attraction and involvement to a mediocre low-budget cartoon show that was orientated towards 3 to 4 year old girls. - *blows another circuit*
Fursuits have come a long ways, along with tools, techniques, materials, and skills to build them over the last 10 years. ( and the old myth that furries were all poor is complicated and unconfirmed obviously in these cases.
I don't game so i dunno about your last part. :P
I kinda understand the bronies a bit but then I also live with a bunch of them and are friends with a bunch more I think the main draw is that for what it is the characters are well written and likable for the most part I can really see the personality types of the cast in my friends and coworkers just not cranked up to 11 like the show. It's also ridiculously cute and you know furries and cute things. That said I have watched some of it but for me it's just another tv show lol.
No real comments on the fursuit stuff all I know is that I would need a cooling system of some sort to even survive in one of those lol.
as for PC gaming it's been "dying" since the 90s maybe even earlier I don't remember much of the 80s lol. Personally I love digital distribution I mainly use steam (and have about 170 games on it about 90% of which were 20$ or less indie games) but I have been meaning to get a good old games account for some of the goodness that I remember from my childhood. You can't find much shelf space for PC especially at EB since you can't buy/sell used games for it which is where they make most of their money so why stock the pc version you can only sell once and have to give a share of the sale to the devs when you can stock the console version of the same game and sell it repeatedly especially since the devs don't see a dime of used game sales.
I don't know about which shitty drm you are commenting on with the limited installs most publishers have done away with it I think EA is the only one holding onto it still but I'm not 100% sure on that. I know that most people's hate for steam and digital distribution in general is that they don't feel they own the games and that if they lose their account they will lose all of their games I've never really worried about that if I do manage to lose my account somehow (which I have had for about 5 years now) then I can always go the grey market route and pirate the games I already paid for. Jeez I have a lot to say on the gaming topic don't I lol.
As to suits, I have no idea Kantu's and my suits are fair simple and I really can't think about them bring all blinged or teched out - though I do know I need a cooler pack/vest if I was to make mine a fur based suit instead of skin (but that's because of a medical condition not for any cool factor). Many people seem to wont the latest and what have you that they can get their paws on, I know many who are like that with the latest tech toys having to get the latest and greatest regardless of it they need it or not. To me you can only deal with what you have personal power over, if someone wishes to have X that is their issue to find a way of getting it or doing it - supply and demand only goes so far and someone can only do so much based upon their own abilities.
Games, I've never gotten into really on the computer side of things since most game's have always been aimed at Windows user's over Mac and the few aimed at Mac never where worth getting in general (though I do admit to getting sucked into The Sims, Sims 2 and Sims 3 series) even WOW I was into for a time when it first hit the market for Mac, but that fizzled out fast once the online junk was lunched and it became unappealing to me to use never mind play.
Oh well hun one might call it all a sign of progress, but some times this progress isn't what it appears to be in the end.
If good Free-to-play is what you're looking for, check out Star Trek Online. Anything available in-game can be gotten with in-game resources. It may take quite a bit of farming, but it can be done, and the game does not treat 'silver' players as second-class citizens.
I am greatly looking forward to this: http://www.robertsspaceindustries.c...../star-citizen/ A crowdfunded project led by Chris Roberts - the man who created Wing Commander. A similar project is underway by the original creator of the Ultima games, but I don't have a link handy.
