Found early that can be successfully taken care of. A friend of mine had Colon cancer, and he's doing fine. My Dad had something that was potentially cancerous in the colon, and he's doing fine as well.

I just got treated with radioactive seeds for early stage Prostate cancer; while I now can't father children in a natural way (but can with medical help) I'm doing fine, and so far so good.

So, DON'T worry and be positive!

Oh well, as I was saying, I have a family friend who is dying of prostate cancer, but I can't even imagine what it must be like to have a mate with cancer. If I may recommend something, don't treat your mate with pity, be strong with him, and talk openly about your feelings and fears, don't shy away from them. Don't give up!

Hi there Taz, I am so sorry to hear about this. I truly feel for you. My mate was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer 6 years ago. The treatment period (6 months)was tough but he pulled through fine. The best thing you can do for him is to be there and tell him you love him every day. Hold him as often as you can and let the docs do their thing.With your love he will be just fine. Please keep us posted on whats going on my friend. Love to you both!
