In order to use Livesteam, you need to download the Procaster application from the Livestream site after signing up. Once you have that, it should be pretty easy to have it record your computer and your voice. Just note that livestream's guidelines make it so that your streams have to be at least partially safe for work. (I believe that that's the case, anyway). Other sites like join.me are a bit less strict.

I'll read the guidelines for whatever I sign up for to be safe.

You kinda do have to use the same computer for all the A/V. I do take advantage of the fact that I can have the text chat on another computer... great for telling folks an ETA on recovering from minor explosions. It is a mixed blessing for communication, though, because things that don't interrupt me when I work... I'm less responsive in dealing with. The really nice thing though, when you're just starting out and don't know what you are doing? You don't need the audience in place to stream. So you can test things out, see how it works, adjust settings... use another computer to see and hear how you sound... and then just don't save the session recording. It's a little embarrassing, but it's not functionally different from a sound check on a real stage.

You will have to learn the audio mixer's foibles. Specifically, you may, on any given session, have to add an audio stream from your microphone. Especially if you unplug your mic when it's not in use, or it just patched. This isn't an evil conspiracy. It's just trying to avoid guessing at whether or not you want to broadcast with a mic. Nice program doesn't want you accidentally playing your flatmate's porn audio from your webcam while you're showing off, say, some voice synth app singing MLP songs. There's a few minor quibbles I have with the app, like "why can't I set up the audio before I start?" but since you don't hear the output on the PC you're using to broadcast... honestly, most of my issues with the service are either avoiding needless complexity, mitigating technical improbability, or about not setting the user up for worse disasters.

That and, like any city, the street signs aren't where you can see them until you know where they are at.

Oh, and don't store a ton of old vids. Evidently, they charge for storage above a certain amount. Or used to.
