Ive been an rc peson my hole life. My dad still has his rcs from 1984. They still work. Ive got a traxxas rustler. But my batt wire burnt out, so I need to replace them and get a smaller gear, with a 30,000 rpm engine it caysed some issues with overheatibg cause im running a gear thats a hair bit big.

DUDE!!!! You are lucky that I read your journal! I don't want to sound like a douche or anything, but I am a pro-am RC drifter. I worked at a hobby store, I have been RC drifting for about 8 years, I have been sponsored for at least two years, and I was in 2 RC drift magazines (They only made two issues anyways XP).

Anyways, drifting RC cars is a lot of fun it is defiantly worth giving a shot. If you want to start off, I recommend the Tamiya TT-01. Its great for beginners and there are a lot of modifications for it to be a good drifter.

BROOOO thats sooo dope like stright up I went to a hobby shop the other day and was all like O-O why have I not heard of this HOPEFULLY Im getting a job soon and there was a model that I had my eye on at the shop dont remember the exact name but its a yellow camero and it looks sweet and if I land the job im gonna hopefully get it soon :3 if not im gonna get one over summer

Fasho. Just keep in mind though, the most important part of the car is the RC car chassis itself, not every RC car can drift. So once you get the money, look for a Tamiya TT-01 kit at your local hobby shop (http://amzn.com/B004GTMZA4). It doesn't matter what car shell comes with the kit. You can always get a clear Camaro shell and yellow paint if you want and put in on the chassis.
