HELP!

My last laptop fried it's motherboard so I'm getting a new one soon. It's going to be a HP but I was just wondering what components you guys look for in buying a new computer/laptop.
For me I need all 4GS of RAM, at least 300Gigs of hard drive space, a dvd/ cd read and writer drive, and a upgraded warranty since my last one hand issues a week after the year warranty expired and Dell wouldn't even look at me b/c of that >.> Bastards.
So do share it'll help me loads later!

I got one... my comp doesn't crash as often anymore 'cause it gets too hot.
For a brand-new laptop? I'd say an ounce of prevention's worth a pound of cure.
Actually extends the battery life a bit.. as you don't use the fans as often. The pad takes less juice then the internal fans and works quite nicely.
