i feel like i'm losing touch with all my friends, and my messenger lists are full of nothing but acquaintences.
my chats on messengers lately seem so distant. even when the other party tries to start up conversation, i find myself replying with brief, simple replies that, to some, might indicate a lack of interest. i dont want to do that, but i stay logged into messengers all day, so even if i am busy i can still sometimes reply. but the end result is that i dont chat with friends often anymore. some of them seemed to fall off the face of the earth after small arguments, or they just lost interest in me or probably thought i lost interest in them. i wish i could tell them this individually, but it's hard for me. some of them dont even use the same messengers anymore. i dont use facebook or twitter...
the result is most of my friends list is full of people i wish i could call my friends. but we barely ever talk.

I know that feel bro. You just described exactly everything with me in the same regards. I came up with the term social hermit to try to identify what all of this is being like. I'm no social butterfly and I have not twitter or Facebook or tumbler or any of those social media things. glad to know im not alone. this journal was actually triggered by something else. but i dont like to leave emo journals, so it kinda turned into this.
