Kiss me once and I will surely melt and die
Yesterday, i got some heartbreaking news from my lovely husband, he has been fired.
He was the main breadwinner in our family, and with our expenses at a minimum we need to make at least 1500$/m to scrape by. Luckily his last check will be tomorrow and that will pay for the house for this month. But i am crying and panicked for next month. He is currently looking into a job at a local College but as far as network engineer jobs in town, there aren't many. Especially what he was paid. We have lost his Insurance and his tenure, but with that tenure the board of trustees must look and sign off on his release. If this does not happen, they could welcome him back.
I have all the hope in the world that they would see this firing as unjustified and ask him back, but as it is now, if i hope too much and it doesn't happen i will be that much more angry and sad. As it is, he will probably take a tech shop job at a local computer shop for much less than he's worth to just scrape by.
With that i have come to the meat of it: I *MUST* raise my prices for a while. I don't know how long this will go on but for the time being i have to shift my 8$ full body commissions to 10$
IF YOU HAVE A COMMISSION FROM ME IN THE WORKS NOW THIS CHANGE DOES NOT APPLY TO YOUR CURRENT WORK
Only new commissions from this point on are under this price, If i have work pending for you and also pending on your payment when the work is done already, you are locked in at 8$ per character. But future work will be 10$ per character. I'm raising bust commissions to the 8$ per even though no one has ordered any. Reference sheets will stay 100$ and backgrounds will still cost extra on the work. I am VERY sorry that i have to translate this cost onto you, but as someone unable to currently work outside the home i am scrambling to find a way to help out.
I also have all the posted scarves for sale. If you would like to see a list of them please ask and i can work with you on the prices.
If you should have any ideas as to how i could maybe make some more money i would love some input!
If you have the time and feel the want to help, Please put an advert for me on your journals or just mention me in passing for anyone looking for some art. I would greatly appreciate it!
