Vancoufur 2013 Con Report

Wow! This year has blown me away.
I started my long journey on the 26th (Tues) A two hour drive to Eugene for the Amtrack station. Picked up my bridesmaid dress's and took the 4 in a half hour train ride to my dads. The worst experience i've had with a bathroom happened here lol. I might make a separate journal about it, its pretty funny. Lisa, my brothers fiance and my maid of honor took me home. Relaxed best i could, worked on the papercraft that was for the charity auction.
Then came the 27th, i slept in since no doggies where there to wake me up! Went to Vancouver Wa with Lisa and one of her friends to pick up my headpiece for the wedding. Nom nom at Olive Garden, then picked up some last minute things for my trip. Came home to finish up one papercraft.
Thursday
Woke up super early to start on another papercraft since the last one wasn't looking so good. Left for train at 9am. Then the long train to Seattle then a bus to Canada. In total 7 in a half hours of total travel. Border crossing was super smooth, Canadians are so easy going lol. Arrived in Vancouver bc, only to have a panic attack. The roommates i was staying with was a hour late picking me up. I was almost in tears i thought i was stranded in Canada with no room or ride. Worst part was my phone wasn't working, roaming or not. After i was so happy they came to pick me up, got my stuff to my room and then rushed to Boston Pizza for meetup with friends (Max, Razzy, Skyan etc) After went to hunt down alcohol in the pouring rain, and failed miserably. So expensive! I'm glad i brought my rum. So we got back to hang out in Max's room, Hanged out, drank a very strong drink that i really couldn't finish lol. Razzy helped me with my suit. After went to my room to hang out with roommates, it was pretty fun. Had no idea talking about random things could be so entertaining. I got the pull out bed, which is great because i was thinking i'd have to sleep on the floor.
Friday
Woke up about 5am, got up around 8. Hanged out in the lobby and met a few new furs. Had breakfast in the hotel restaurant with Max and roomies. It was yummy hashbrowns! Suited up and had fun for a few hours then got a well deserved shower. Got back downstairs just in time for registration. Dropped things off in room and hung out with Razzy while waiting for Max's panel. Had a great time at his panel, if you see it "Commissions 101 for the buyer" go check it out! After, suited up with Max (I was pretty much with Max whenever we suited up, yay for suiting buddies!) We had a blast in the lobby with multiple furs and balls. Fursuit lounge, then hung out with roommates. Saw the end of the plushie making panel, then the 3d printing panel, sadly i thought it was a paper printer, not plastic. Still pretty amazing. Bailed about half-way and saw the rest of Commissions 101 For the Artist. Opening Ceremonies was ok. I didn't have time to change so i was in suit during it. Went to Boston Pizza, this time we had a LARGE group of people. Its really funny, we started with three and as we were walking to it many just joined us. We ended up having around 10 furs. Had a AMAZING drink. Anyway, Sadly Max wasn't feeling so good so i finished off his as well. He received this really cool minecraft papercraft which i still would like to know how it was made because i want one lol. Came back to the con for the Patron Lounge.. and that was so nice! I missed out on the nachos, but they had free beer and mixed drinks to make screw drivers. So i accidentally put too much vodka in mine (lol) and it was super strong, but i drank it. Max joined me and we had fun talking to important people like the chair

contact :P Went to dance. Afterwards, i met this amazing fur named Jacksen, we talked *forever* and we were very similar in views and interests. 
forceuser came and we went to this party a few doors down, had rum but the room got way too packed. Finally came back to my room to crash.
Saturday
Had a danish down the street with Max. Got to Razzy's fursuit panel. Hung out with roommate and he was so nice as to buy me a necklace after a crazy adventure to the ATM. Suited up for fursuit parade, dance competition, then the harlem shake video.

Went swimming after with Max, Razzy, Skyan Jacksen and a few others. That was a blast! Had big blow-up toys that were fun in itself to jump on/move around. Hot tub was amazing. Took the quickest shower known to man (i think it was 3min) i was actually timed lol. Made it to the Guest of Honor Dinner. Food was really good. suited up, went to Razzy's DTD panel.. caught a little bit of the variety show. I need to find a video because i missed the first part. Said goodbye to my now good friend Jacksen. He left his shirt in our room while changing for swimming so for RF i'm going to have to bring it to him :) Tried to find a room to drink in but sadly i really couldn't find any room parties. Hung out with
koohiimonsutaa forceuser and their minecraft group. It was decided that i join as well. (still need to get the info, its been forever since i played minecraft!) Anyway after a yummy golden rum drink and noodles i crashed.
Sunday
Woke up early and went to mlp panel. Wasn't really impressed with it.. but i think that was due to the original people running it canceled. Ice cream social! Om nom nom. The guy that did this at the variety show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFbToUUuh8c was there, and out of no where he yells "Hey guys! Watch this!" and he starts pouring chocolate syrup on his ice cream while singing CHOCOLATE RAIN! It was soooo funny! Then to fursuit games. Sadly didn't enjoy it all that much because i felt like my tail was going to fall off. Still need to fix it. But the ball game was very fun, i sat on them all and hid them under my butt lol. Max and i tried to do a charade panel right after the games but it was alittle hard to do while in suit. I plan on making another panel like that for RF but better organized. It was last minute after all. De-suited and watched end of scritch and hiss.. then closing ceremonies. I was so happy my husky papercraft sold! I think it went for $45. When the chair said my name everyone cheered and i think one person yelled "Yeah go Kirinafa!" It felt so amazing to be recognized like that. I hope to continue to donate my papercrafts for good causes <3 After that went to relax in hottub. Sadly, while soaking i find out my roommates are leaving at 7am in the morning and wanted me to start cleaning up/packed. Knowing my bus leaves at 11:30, is problematic. As i was leaving the pool, Max was so, so very kind as to offer their room for the night. I gladly accepted, and i have to thank

Went to Boston Pizza one last time with the gang, and had one last yummy drink. Went to the last dance, and gave away the papercraft that i thought wasn't worthy of going to the charity auction. I left it on the table and a few minutes go by and i see him take it and look at it. Before i know it a group surrounds him and they didn't know what to do with it. Finally i walked up and asked him if he liked it. He said yes, so i told him you could keep it. He was so happy! He didn't care that one of the legs was a bit shorter then the others. With my good deed done, i went dancing and crashed soon after.
Monday-Thusday
Woke up and got my shitz together, then said goodbye to all my great friends <3 Took a taxi to train station. Border control was madness, they interrogated me for 15 minutes. Really not sure why, he even Google mapped my address and asked where my mom/dad worked. It hit a nerve because my mom passed away, yet he still asked what she did before she died. I mean really? Show some respect. I have to say the us border control is crazy. I just wanted to go home o.O Anyway in total 9 hours travel later i was back to my dads. In Seattle during my connection apparently abunch of people just got out of jail and someones wallet was stolen. It was found in the trash can, money gone, right outside the train. It was moving by the time this happened.. and i had to sit by one of them. I kept a close eye on my things. Eventually i couldn't take it anymore, he wanted a window seat since hes been locked up yet kept getting up every few minutes. So i moved to a different seat, only to have amtrack staff get mad at me. Screw them, i did NOT want to sit by that guy. He looked like he had been recently beat up. Back home, I spent a few days to recoup, and had a great time with another local fur (and has also been one of my closest friends since elementary school)
mvhybrid Had fun at the dog park with her two handsome cuties, had frozen yogurt and a petco visit. Had a all around good time just talking. Helped my dad set up his new tv and then.. the ride back home! Add another 5 hours of train/bus.. until finally.. i was in Eugene! Hugged my wolfy 
wolfblaze1 And got my wedding dress into Davids Bridal for some alterations. Sadly its going to cost about $200, so waiting to see if my Grandma who is a seamstress could help in some way. Picked up some MLP merchandise BIG fluttershy plushie from toysrus, then a fluttershy figure from Hot Topic. FINALLY headed home, with a two hour drive. Made it in time for Fire training, which was about natural gas lines.
Gahh!!! Now i'm sitting here wishing Benben was home so i could cuddle him more. Its so lonely but i missed my huskies. I'm glad they are here to keep my company.
