Minecraft Pre-release out, texture packs soon

General
I am currently tweeking and bug-hunting my texture packs to make sure they are ready for Minecraft 1.5 coming VERY soon,
I just wanted to let you guys know that it would appear native minecraft now supports mismatched and higher resolutions, which, for me, runs faster than a patched minecraft. This could be awesome, but we'll see.
Thank you guys again for trying my texture packs, and tell your friends :D

FA+

A new Redstone Block, which emits constant redstone signal with the added bonus that it can be pushed by pistons.
Nether Quartz; an ore found in netherrack that can be used to construct three types of quartz block (block, chizeled, pillar) as well as half slab and stairs.
A Redstone Comparitor; that apearently "measures redsone inputs and emits a signal depending upon how strong the inputs are" (?)
A Hopper which can be placed on chests and dispensors, and will funnel lose items near it into the chest.
minecarts can now have TNT and Hoppers loaded into them
a new Activator Rail (I have no idea what it does, but I think it detonates TNT in minecarts)
Weighted pressure plates that require different stuff on top of them before they transmit signals
Trapped chests that emit redstone signals when opened (and different levels of signals depending upon the number of players looking in them)
That's as much as I know. This wiki will have better info:
