FurIdaho Was Awesome! And Rainfurrest.

I have to say, this was the most fun I've ever had in a long time. I made a ton of new friends, ran into
EleniRaine who was wearing quite possibly the most adorable fursuit at the con. And I stopped by
jagdwolf's panel a couple times.
I shared a hotel room with the awesome couple
luxoriri and her mate,
montanawerewolf. I had an awesome time hanging out and Lux had such an adorable fursuit! I can't thank you both enough for splitting the hotel costs and everything. I'm definitely looking forward to having an equally fun if not better time at Rainfurrest in the fall!
As for the overall con, it was small. Very small. But that's fine by me. I actually got the same impression from when I visited my first anime con three years ago. Not too overwhelming for a starting con, but definitely lots to do and lots of fun to be had!
A lot of people were talking about how terrible it was the year before. And a lot of complaints were about the excess of pony stuff last year. Well, to those who decided not to attend this year for that purpose, I have good news. The amount of pony stuff I saw at their second con I only had to count on one hand. I was right in giving them the benefit of the doubt and it all worked out because upon arriving it had the atmosphere of what I expected a real furry con to be. Fursuit parade, talent show, fursuit olympics, legitimately furry panels and events.
Overall, I had a real blast at FurIdaho. It's a great little con that any first time con-goers like myself should attend as an introduction to the hobby. I made friends with plenty of the con attendees, and even some of the awesome artists in the dealers den! And while I feel a little depressed that it went by so quickly, I still have plenty of things planned for the coming year. I'm building a suit of my own, and over the summer I will be saving up for Rainfurrest this fall. Once again, I want to thank the staff of FurIdaho, all of my new friends, and the badass con ops for making my time at this con an enjoyable one. I will definitely be attending next year! Peace!

Perhaps it's just me, but there's this nice charm about small cons. You get to make a tighter group of friends that you can remember. That's definitely the up-side. Glad to hear you had fun at Potatocon, and I have to say, the photos that you've taken during the furcon in your gallery were picture perfect!

I agree with the above, all the tho a big con is nice, it's more fun when you'll @ least leave knowing you made lasting friends :) was nice getting to know you a little better Tanner, & looking forward to seeing you @ Rainfurrest! Thank you for splitting the cost of the room & being an awesome roomie! ^_^

Glad you had fun. I was hearing quite a bit about it on Twitter all weekend. Depending on when it is I might have to go next year. Also, I can't wait for RF, sounds like there's going to be quite a few Montana furs there too.
