So I was in the kitchen getting a cupcake when....
Mom: So we have to take a trip to Michigan.
Me: Why?
Mom: Not next week or anything, it'll be right after school gets out. And you'll have to stay here to take care of everything.
Me: WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GO.
Mom: Oh, you know, to see Grandpa Jim (my dad's dad), and stuff.
Me: Why can't I go? I haven't been to Michigan in years.
Mom: I know, you haven't been since the last time I went. But you can't go this time.
Me: I really miss it there.
Dad: It's not going to be a fun trip.
Me: *leaves before I start crying because now I think Grandpa's sick or something...*

I'm seriously scared now. I don't want to lose another grandpa. (My mom's dad, Grandpa Kenny, died when i was a baby, and her stepdad, Grandpa Hank, died October of my freshman year.)
