That game looks like it's trying to turn Monster Hunter's premise into Devil May Cry's gameplay. DMC is know for it's crazy long combos, air juggles, very agile characters. The player is shown off as being more powerful than everything, he's just a little bundle of energy. That's not what Monster Hunter is. The Monster Hunter player is just a guy. His weapons have weight, and he can sometimes barely wield them. If he miss-steps, the things he hunts will punish him for it. The player is the Underdog, and will get destroyed if a boss gets him trapped.
Ahh, okay; I've never played DMC, so I had no idea. XD
But Ragnarok is so much fun and it reminded me of Monster Hunter a lot.
MH will always have a special place in my heart, but it will still be difficult for me to adapt back to the slow-pace, unforgiving world of it, lol.
Ooh I am playing this on the Wii-U. I'd love to go hunting with you if you are on that one too. :o
I still haven't done the lagiacrus quest to reach HR 2 yet though; been busy working on the final few stages in village mode before the dragon in the undersea ruins unlocks. x.x
