To my defence, Chinese music is awful

My classmate came over to me, asked if I was listening to some Last Samurai music while working, because you know, my character is a samurai.
I said, she's Chinese though.
Him: She's Chinese?
Him: Well so, Em and I have been listening to all this African tribal music to get into the mood of working on our characters (a Masai and some Omo valley tribe girl). What do you listen to while working?
Me: Uhh.. Spice Girls.

I just really like listening to disco/pop/upbeat stuff while I work. And I like stupid old stuff like Spice Girls
I found it funny because my taste in music is so low-brow compared.
I'll tell you what I want, what I REALLY REALLY WANT!

They're too freaking catchy.
I also like working in SILENCE, but it's not always an option.
Silence becomes paranoia, and I hate that feeling so much...
Right now I am listening to Solas which is more folky-celtic music.
