DAMN YOU FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING!!
Ugh, seriosuly, my life is no longer my own anymore. How do people accomplish things with this game.....like living a life?!
This game is amazing for me, considering I've been been a hardcore fan of Fire emblem since the first game, and I'm not talking about Shadow Dragon remake or FE5 for the GBA. I'm talking oldschool hardcore Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi. With Little 14 year old Marth runnign around ina battle toga. No i didnt play it when it first came out in 1990, i got it when emulators first started poppining up a few years later. Or somethign liek that, my cousin actually gave me a disc of a bunch of games when i got my first computer so whereve he got them, who's to say. Now this was before fantranslations so i played this game fully in japanese with no concept of what was going on or what the fuck i was doing. You wanna talk challenging...eat that, Demon Souls! Thank god the levels in FE rarely consist of anythign other than murder your enemy, save the village of crippled retarded children from being axe'd! 3 is my favorite of the franchise though, considering half of it is merely game 1 and then the other half is a better story going on lol. It was great cause i was guarunteed to win atleast the first half of it lol.
But yeah, i've been playign FE games on and off for most of my childhood and the last few releases were....lackluster for me. i hoenstly didn;t liek the wii console ones. The characters seemed rather narrow and unappealing to match their story. [but that's my opinion, if you think those games were the bees-knees, be my guest, I wont argue with you]
So yeah, Awakenign is a godsend for an old fire emblem fart like me. I like the look of it, the difficulty levels, the characters. I just love it all. Especially the support and marriage system with the children! OMG MY LIFE!! It's what i want ot do, force people to be a pairing and make them have children and then have family bonding! IT'S LIKE THE SIMS, BUT NOT THE SIMS, BECAUSE I FUCKING HATE PLAYING THE SIMS!!!
But yes, i'm sorry to nerd out liek this but it had to be done. My love of this game is oozing out of my skin like a nerdy flavored mucus. I suggest you all play it. I've drawn so much stupid art for my headcanon stuff already its not funny. But i cnat post it here cause it's all human-y and you guys dont liek that - ewww! [lol joking joking you guys, i love you]
So yeah, good bye life, hello fire Emblem land! *flies off on a jetpack because she could, and it was awesome*

Fire Emblem is a tactical rpg game. imagine chess, but the chess pieces are actually characters. They all have classes and can move in certain ways and based on their skills can overcome enemies with other skills and vica-versa. And if your character dies, like a real war, they're gone forever [unless you play baby option where they just faint]
The series was never released in america offically. but when Super Smash brother Melee came out, that game features two well know characetrs from the series: Marth and Roy. the popularity of these characters brought in HUGE interest of the game series to the point they released the 5th game i believe to the states on the GBA. This game didnt feature eithet marth or roy but it got enough interest for them to keep releasing fire emblem titles. The newest game, Awakening, is actually the 13th in the series. Its basically got a new 3D look, a rather complex [for an FE game] story, endearing characters as well as this time gate feature that lets you challenge characters from ALL other 13 fire emblem games. So for hardcore fans like me, it's great since i actually know most of the 'cameo' characters and such.
If you liek strategy/ war games, it's definately a great one to try. and even if you dont, it's still fun for thre story and character interactions.
but FE has always been a series of you need to try it to see if you'll like it.
what system does it play on ?
The other games i mentioned - Sacred Stones and Radiant dawn are for the gamecube/wii console. I don't think they did too well in the amrket so you could prob find used ones pretty cheap and easy. I never payed attention to their popularity.
But most FE games are for the hand held console. So if you looka roudn you'll prob find a lot for the gameboy etc.
I've always been a Shining Force guy myself, but people keep suggesting I get this game, and that I won't feel locked out by it being the first game.
Awakening is the first for a lot of people, so you wont be alone. Any important characters from past games they have little bios and such, but everything important is plopped infront of you. If anything, download the demo from the 3ds shop for free and give it a try. =D

I dont mind skyrim, i still like it really, considering i've never gotten the chnace to really play an elder scrolls game. I've never had a computer good enough to run games properly.
as for dawnguard, trying lookign up fixes on youtube and such. Im sure they're is a fix or an update for it by now. atleast you can get the dlcs. i have ps3 and Bethesda is like "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooope"
So fucking amazing.
its just very shocking that they've gotten me addicted to a game. even pokemon i can turn off and take an extended break from. But awakening, holy shit ><
Thanks for making everyone's life a little darker, Nintendo XD
