Quietly, Stealthily
So, believe it or not, I'm a very nervous dude. Especially at night, especially at home here in the middle of nowhere. If there's a large crash, shouting, or a car that sits at the corner too long, I'm quietly loading my pistol and setting it on my nightstand. This isn't without merit however, lately we've been getting some really shady folks (trappers) coming up and down our road. There have been a few burglaries since they started coming 'round too. But anyway, I didn't start loading the pistol every time I got nervous until they started coming through shooting at God knows what. (Prolly ducks or raccoon.) Everything they're doing is quite illegal, and we've reported them several times, but there's not much the local law enforcement can do, they're nearly an hour away and by the time they get here the trappers are looong gone.
Anyway, this time of year we get what we like to call the "UFO boat" up here on the river when the water is high enough. I guess it's an air-boat, because that's the only thing I can think of that makes that much damned noise out on the water. But these guys are night fishing, they show up every weekend when the weather and conditions are good at about midnight with their loud ass boat that is loaded down with lights. Bright frikken spotlights. (Attracts the fish.)
I had forgotten about these guys until about an hour or so ago. Just had got offa skype and was going to bed when all the sudden my windows lit up and I heard a loud, "RRRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHH" that just kept getting louder. Damn. Just damn. That got me moving really quickly, I think I may have broke the world record of loading a revolver with a loading gate. XD Anyway, I set it down on the dresser and peeked out the window to see what the hell was going on, and it was just those old dudes in their obnoxious boat. Fishing.
>.< Fffffff. I'm going back to bed. *Unloads pistol and flops*

It's a little faster and easier to both load and unload safely in a state of panic.
It wasn't too long ago you could pick one up that was in top shape aside from needing badly to be cleaned, for around $199.
I've been considering picking up two or three of the M57's before the supply dries up. Condition doesn't bother me any as I have the capabilities to rebuild/restore pretty much any part of any pistol.
