Paypal invoices???
I've heard a lot of good things about sending invoices to customers rather than giving them your e-mail and sending money. Anyone have any experiences with invoices? Should I do them as well?
:3
I dislike about them is that you are able to view both parties addresses /:
not that I'm assuming everyone has ill intentions; it's just a little unsettling to me!
On the plus side, it guarantees you'll get your money without a particular 'shipping' fee or 'gift'
option, as these aren't what should be chosen in payment when it comes to paypal (which can
sometimes result in account ban or suspension / A \ )
I generally don't mind the fees or anything myself. It's usually less than a dollar that they take from me, which is fine when I'm receiving $20 on average. And it allows paypal to remain a mostly free site.
I was just thinking about it because then I would not have anyone accidentally clicking 'gift' or leaving me messages and making my account suspicious when I try to be as transparent as possible. And some people say it's easier on the commissioner because then they know the right person is getting the money and there's less clicking to do???
I can also make sure the correct amount is being sent in the correct currency and all that jazz.
I just generally find them easier since, like Casserole said, you don't have to worry about the shipping fee or receiving the money as a gift thing.
The later of which could definitely get your account suspended or banned.
There's no shenanigans with it, so you're less likely to get into trouble if a commissioner makes a mistake.
The down side to that is, if your commissioner wanted to tip, and some I know of do, they don't have the option to add a tip.
And like Casserole said again, you can see both parties addresses, which might not be that terrible, is still a little uncomfortable.
Title and subject are the same. XD
Geeze.
And I see what you mean. I suppose it more or less comes down to what each person prefers. I don't think I'd mind most of my customers knowing MY address, but I can understand it worrying people if I had theirs. Not that I would do anything with it, but a lot of people just don't want others knowing that stuff.
I suppose it doesn't have to be a be-all, end-all decision.
I could do invoices for people who are alright with it, and then just let others pay as usual.
