oh man birthday / Regarding Jazz

My birthday's coming up in about a month, on the 15th of April. I'm quite surprised I've been here for as long as I have - though with not nearly as much art as I'd like to show for it. Something I struggle with a lot, unfortunately. Maybe I'll be able to make something to mark the occasion this time? Who knows. I sure don't expect art from anyone else, but I still appreciate any general birthday well-wishes!
I've come to not anticipate a response when I need help deciding on something, but I guess it never hurts to try anyway. It's a small detail about my Raichu girl, Jazz;
When I've drawn her myself in the past, I purposefully made the hair that comes over her shoulders into a hard lightning shape: (1) (2)
But when I've had her drawn by a couple other artists, they interpreted it as more naturally-shaped hair instead: (1) (2)
While it wasn't my original design, I think the more natural look actually does look very nice, so I'm not sure if I should change it to be more natural, or leave it with the lightning shape. Is there anyone out there that can provide some sort of opinion for me?

Though, IMO, it's easy to spot that she's a Raichu (for those who know even a little about pokemon as being the evolution of pokemon #25, known as Pikachu) and then there's no real need to add some more hint about the electricity "element".
It's not so much a huge difference between both styles (still noticeable). I still prefer the more natural myself as in some kind of ways, it's putting her a little further from the pokemon base, like giving her more depth in character background (just like I said at start, she has already enough visual hints to be sure she's a Raichu so giving her some difference lowering the direct connection with the original base wouldn't be bad).
I'm sorry, my explainations suck quite a lot, it's hard to try to say what I have in mind ... but in english ^^;

So I would say it doesn't need more "hints" (like the hair shape then) to make sure her element is electricity :P
Plus it makes her look sweeter (?) (well, I think ^^).
But like said before, it's a tiny detail that won't change much of the overall look, she's cute with both and that will still be the case whatever the shape of her hair is ;P
The lightning hair isn't supposed to be a 'hint' as to her being electrical/a Raichu, but rather something that looks interesting and/or 'cool'. But I can agree that she might look 'sweeter'/maybe cuter with normal hair, which is why I'm considering changing it in the first place. So, yeah. I get the point, though.
Thank you for saying you like her (or at the very least, that she's cute), I always appreciate hearing that from others
