I'm kind of like you. Unless I'm setting out for a unique coloring to begin with...I generally prefer natural coloring most of the time. And true on the hair part...unless I'm doing characters for a story that's "realistic" in tone (my sci-fi furries), then I will generally have an odd color for hair.

Best? Probably things more akin to natural. Really the main thing I'm not too fond of are the bright neons being used as a main fur color. Especially if multiple are used. Especially especially if there's some kind of intricate pattern being made with many colors. Though that last part is a complaint as an artist who doesn't want to have to draw said patterns. >.>;

My two main characters Ainoko and Acmen-Met http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6320865/ (NSFW) are a combination of natural and and un-natural colors, out of all my characters, only 6 are un-natural colors

I'm like you, a mix of the two.

I generally prefer natural, but yeah, if the character bakcground justifies it... go wild!

I enjoy the combination as well. It helps keep things interesting.

I usually like natural colors unless they're a fantasy animal like a dragon.

I like them both, but my favorite is a mix - say, a natural coat with a wild stripe, or natural coat with crazy hair, or a natural hair with a neon streak, etc.

I like both to include mixing natural and unnatural mixes. =+}

I say both but with unnatural colors as long its stylish and tasteful I adore it.
