Since i don't know the parties involved, I will not assume I know what's going on. ^_^ safer that way. ;)
Take it from me, I know a lot about her, and I wouldn't even care what type of person she was if she wasn't doing under-handed and boarder-line illegal things.
Sorry, but this really steams me. Once upon a time I actually liked her work, I think everyone does before they learn more about her, but now it just feels like a lie, and touchy sujbects like "Soldiers Pray" (I'm a veteran of the Iraqi War, spending 23 solid months and most of my adult life on deployment) just build rage in me... since I doubt her every motive for making it besides to make money on an iconic subject. I posted about this on another thread before that was deleted:
"The point is that she doesn't often combine photographs and never gives credit. Preferring to let people believe she was a prodigy artist for years before there was a stink about it... and even after her reputation was in question she still refused to give people credit when credit was due.
Her pride is what killed her here -- her obsession with being the furry fandom's prodigy artist.
Until you have millions of dollars to not care about what people think... you should try and play by the rules and ethics just a bit first if you plan on making any money.
She got what she deserved. I've personally tried to work with her on this several times... and I know how she is."
And I laughed out-loud at that jpg.
Also, Marta and I wanted to watch a movie later today, you should go over to her place and join in.
I luled.
Now-a-days, her work just looks lazy, like she's completely sold out, and has no heart for art anymore, but for money.
so she was a bad girl? phew. sad to hear that.
but from your description I suspect she will pop up soemwhere else under a new name, and restart over again. until someone recognizes old art... people like that simply never learn.
And, oh ho ho, you can bet this isn't the last you'll see of her. She's like a cancer... you can nuke the hell outta her but she'll come back in a different area.
She needs to just be a better person is all. I'd say she needs to be her honest self... but that side about her is insecure and male dependant (we already see a ton of it her with her pr0n wolf renditions of all her boyfriend)... I dunno how to help her... but it would start with a complete change of personality.
I think a part of the problem is the alienation of sour well-fed societies. seeking help is a sign of weakness, and frowned upon, or so the raising taught. when in fact there are caring people who would go out of their way to help out, because it's a rule a lot of the human society roots on: helping each other. it's also what Jesus taught. I might be atheist, but I appreciate his teachings and rules as the foundation of a harmonic human society.
my point is, rarely anybody knows the neighbour's name, much less the face. there is a beating going on next door? keep your mouth shut, so there are no repercussions. and maybe his wife deserved it, who knows? you haven't seen the old geezer down the hall for months? maybe he's on vacation. he should have called his newspaper off for the time, though. and maybe cleansed the fridge. the lady down the street is pregnant again... I wonder where her other children went? ah, not my business.
I read those things on the news every other day, and it surely happens a thousandfold a day, without anybody noticing. it's too easy to hide nowadays. privacy is all fine, but when another human needs help, they simply look another way.
of course, there are those who pry into your live thinking it's their right to know all about you. and most wouldn'tr lift a finger for your sake either way. I despise those, too.
say, I just missed the point now, did I? sorry 'bout that.
