HEY INTERNET. You like cats, right?
Chances are that, you are on the Internet (and don't lie to me, you're reading this right now) and you've more than likely had a fair share of adorable cat pictures shown to you. After all, this is the Internet - cats and the Internet are inseparable forces. However, have you ever thought about helping the kittehs?
You might be thinking, "Helping the kittehs? What do they need help with? They've got all that cuteness going for them. WAIT A MINUTE! You're going to try to guilt me into volunteering at humane societies or giving my hard earned internet dollars away. But I am poor! And most humane societies kill their kittehs and that Sarah McLaughlin commercial IS SO SAD WHY DID YOU BRING BACK THE MEMORIES!"
Or anything along those lines. I dunno, I'm not a mind reader.
However! I'd like to take a moment of your time and direct you to Fried's Cat Shelter, a shelter near me that could always use some help! (it's pronounced fr-eee-dz, by the way) They're a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter in the Michigan City area (northwest Indiana) that houses nearly 350 cats. That's a lot of kittehs that could definitely use some help and love.
They even have a way that you can sponsor a kitteh for $15 a month. It's tax deductable.
Of course, if anyone ever visits me, I may just have to drag you out to let you swim in the sea of kittehs. There are no cages, just fenced rooms that their staff of volunteers labor daily to keep as clean as possible. It's quite a fun visit - just don't wear clothes you don't want covered in cat hair.
