Wow, seriously? The fact that they couldn't see three pixels is not a reason for them to complain. I'm pretty sure the focus of the picture was not the lower half anyway, but clearly everyone has to zoom in on the crotch and ignore the actual theme of the picture. >:I And I thought it was an excellent piece, but I guess I'm one of the few who enjoyed it for what it was.

It's not furries as a whole, it's just assholes. And that being said, the artist has control to hide comments like that, he doesn't have to take down an image just because people are bitching. It's a two-way street, and it sounds like he let himself feel pressured into taking it down.

Just to add on to that. He didn't feel pressured by it, it was more that he didn't want to bothered about dealing with it since he doesn't really the need/desperation to share that piece of art.

It's still a kind of pressure, though. All I'm saying is that if he was happy with his art, he shouldn't let others censor him because they're assholes.

I had a artist friend come to me asking how to handle comments that are like that, "You are not pandering to sexual needs, so I must complain" my friend asked me what I do to handle the situation.

Normally, I tell the person if they wanna see whatever it is they complain about to commission me, normally they go "pft I'm not spending money on art" after that I just tell them to fuck off to fuckey land.

Usually works then.

I agree with  yamatoiouko here. It's not like the belligerents commissioned the guy to draw something portraying a penis, so really... Why do they feel that compelled to gripe about it.

Not knowing who the artist was or what the pic was, or even if I got to see it before it was taken down since I don't know if I watch said artist, all I can say is...yes, thanks a lot, furries. Or at least, asshole furries. Because I've seen plenty of pics without penis in them where the comments were respectful and not full of people complaining about the "lack", which shows most furries are better than these idiots. Heck, I've seen more people complaining about pics having penis in them because sexuality "ruins" it for them. In both cases it comes from the same source--people who think their tastes are what should rule, and that anyone who does not cater to their tastes is a bad artist, a panderer to other, worthless tastes, or people who don't have good taste and knowledge of what is art themselves.

Art is art. The lack of a penis does not ruin an image, and neither does the presence of one. It's all about the mood of the piece, the intent, the context, and the style and quality. People who can't see otherwise, on both sides, are either pretentious snobs or greedy and shallow, and therefore idiots.

It was an awesome pic  furious and  shoksyu collabed on, featuring a buff Leo and a buff Wolfrun making out. Leo's penis was pixelated, and Snares got tired of the comments complaining about it, so he took it off.
