Gallows has a secret, something about him seems off now and then, the light playing just the wrong way off his body, somethings not right, and then its clear, it moves wrong, his shadow seems alive...it is very much the case, Gallows sports a sentient shadow... a powerful self aware entity born from a backfire of voodoo..and a constant companion for the devlish mustlid.. yet another source of trickery and power, a being shows physical form shifts like the wind from 2d to three with its form drifting from its own mind(most often a shark or otter, though sometimes a manta) of pure light devouring darkness.. As Gallows smiles you must wonder what surprises he has in store for you now that you've figured out a little too much

Gallows shadow's “Existence” beyond the normal depends on two things primarily on Gallows own emotions, from hunger to lust to excitement. This dependance makes it clear to the shadow who is ultimately in control... and since Gallows own discipline has given him much more control over his emotions the shadow self has realized its position... The second aspect of nourishing the shadow is a spiritual meal.. or meals.. this isn't just soul vore, its the same emotional feeding it takes from gallows own, and even the conversion of a “Meat” meal to a spiritual meal inside his body..its far less efficient but the shadow shark can subsist on normal “sentient” food.


Gallows normally keeps his shadow self under control, mirroring his body exactly like a normal shadow would. Still there are rare times where the two drop the charade of being normal. Being able to shift from three to two dimensional at will and vanishing almost as easily Gallows shadows talents are obvious far beyond having a second body to use at the same time, a set of eyes to watch over him as he sleeps (gallows dreams are VERY vivid after all,feeding the shadow)

The shadow has no fear, being effectivly indestructible(blindingly bright flashes of light concentrated can subdue it for a while, though pure darkness is NOT protection.. even if Gallows physical form feels this method lacks Style), Size likewise can vary with surroundings, even to the point, with proper lighting of making copies of itself( if gallows casts two disctinct shadows because of multiple light sources


Gallows shadow is exceptionally suited for attacking the spiritual and the mystic, the ethereal realm. The symbiotic relationship has developed ways of attack that use both's talents.. It has a talent for enveloping, strangling and grappling others starting to absorb or constrain them with its own mass. In some respects it has attributes of both liquid and gaseous creatures. It can roll over and materialize into “meatspace” around someone, taking over there body and absorbing them from the outside in... or put them in his stomach as it forms around them... really.. the Shadow of a devilish otter mind is certainly there.

Gallows never uses the shadow self when sparing of course, he prefers to leave its full potential as a secret even amongst his closest friends the fact his shadow is alive is known by a small selection of people, but the true capabilities beyond the basic are a very closely guarded secret
Since it is very rarely used as such it provides a wonderful surprise attack




What passes for a personality of the shadow is very similar to Gallows, though without the restraint, its thrives on powerful emotions, behaving more savage as a result. Its loyalties and affections run the same as Gallows though, it will not harm a possession it values for instance, however..it is excedingly dangerous to those who the real otter is just “Playing” friendly toward. Causing the occasional schism between the two.
