It's pretty much impossible to buy ammunition nowadays.
I'm sitting on:
- 1 spam can of legit 40s production soviet surplus 7.62x54R
- A few boxes of Winchester military run-over 00 Buckshot
- A ton of .22WMR/LR
- Random assortment of 7.62x39mm and 5.56x49mm
- 1 50 round box of Winchester Ranger T-Series +P 9mm
That box of 9mm has to be pretty much priceless by now.
It reminds me a lot of tickle-me-elmo that one christmas season a few years back, it's that bad.
It's still hard to believe that the ammunition companies are having a hard time keeping up with demand, but I can't remember the last time I saw a full ammunition case at Walmart. Hopefully all this brouhaha dies down so I can go to the range guilt free and kill some paper. Nowadays, it's way too expensive and scarce to justify it.

i had to pass on doing spring pistol and trap leagues cus i just can't afford the ammo for my 1911 or 12ga.
can't even save money by reloading because ya can't get primers!
guy just laughed when i asked about small pistol primers xP
guess my 38 is destined to starve :c
i have the brass...
i have the powder...
i have the bullets i cast, sized and lubed myself...
just need the primers xP
reloading can be really easy and i've done it effectively with a 2'x3' area using a lee hand press [i do 9mm, .38spc, 40S&W, .45ACP, .45LC, .223, .308 and 7.62x39]
I don't shoot enough to justify reloading, lol.
[i usually don't even do that lol]
aaah yeah i can see that, i have a tendency to go through 3-500 rounds of assorted calibers on an average range day
hope with all this is that the manufacturers will bullwhip in response and we will see a huge surplus and price drop.
