Super misogynist second-life death robots.

Ever see the Mist? Tough shit, I'm gonna spoil it. If you did, you know there's this weird religious chick who goes from being sheltered as 'different' to turning into a cult leader in the post-apocalyptic grocery store. Until eventually someone gives her an 'express checkout' via a hot lead injection. If you're anything like me, you fucking cheered when this finally happened.
She basically makes you hate women and religious types, pretty handily, and it's no secret Stephen King often uses religious types in this way. It's almost a rule that if you find yourself in a Stephen King novel, you might as well just murder anyone cozy with God before they cause shit. I'm sure the man has caught flak for this...
I didn't think anything could be as much an example of wanting to crucify a woman this badly until I watched SyFy's Caprica, which is paced glacially thanks to all the flashback material in it (was it during the writer's strike or something?). That said though, not only does it match the crazy religious bitch character, it has a plethora of them. It's actually so grating whenever anything vagina-bearing in the series mentions God, that you can't wait those 58 years for the fuckers to get nuked.
Seriously, I don't know if it's just the writing here, or my personal take on it, but if it has girlparts (or virtual girlparts) in this show, it's either crazy, or crazy religious. Usually the later. Even after something horrific happens to someone, they advance the plot by saying "Oh, but I HAVE TO DO X, GOD TOTALLY WILLS IT." The shame is the premise of the show is awesome, and I don't really know how they could make it so seemingly misogynist, but you can't go three minutes into an episode without wanting to kick a female in the face.
Thoughts?

In comparison though, Roslin is twenty times the character of any female from Caprica. There is one manipulative woman, but she's basically a druggie super-fundie anyway.
