I figure that I am bound to get a few questions on Basic Training and figured that here would an appropriate place to answer any questions that anyone may have about it. Be it my personal preferences, funny stories, likes, dislikes, experiences, the weather, my Drill Sergeants, experiences with Drill Sergeants, what did I miss, etc.

I got reassigned to Benning, supposed to go to Jackson, but slots were filled. That being said, I got put into the 1-46 in Brigade.

That's awesome!! I used to work on Fort Benning as a civilian before joining. I woked over at Santiago gym on Sand Hill. Were you upset by being assigned to Benning?

Heck no! Basic Training was horrible then, but I think back, and Im like wow...I did that.

68W, just gotta make it through the next four minths. I wanted to be in the 15 series but it wasn't available. I kinda hope that I get 3 or 4 ID attachment. Are you enjoying Benning? I apologize if I'm sounding repetitive.

Well, one time I was sleeping and I woke up for Fireguard duty, I look outside our window, it was thunderstorm out, and when I looked out a flash of lightning hit and I saw the outline of a brown round, then a second later another flash, and it was gone. Scariest shit of my life.

I feel ya. I've had a Drill Sergeant or two walk in on my fire guard shifts. I had a weird relationship with the Drill Sergeants in my company.

I was a favorite to be picked on by one of my Drill Sergeants, a few of the Drill Sergeants felt it necessary to pet my head, don't know why, and the Senior Drill Sergeant apparently liked me a lot and was trying to talk my youngest brother into joining on graduation day.

Wow, on graduation day we got an off post past, where did we go? The closest bar (Im 19), my Battle got me a drink, and DS walks in, sits down, and knocks a few back with us, good times.
