Alright so I've been trying to organize this Art Jam thing where once (or more) times a week we organize up to 4 artists to join a stream. We have the ability to take multiple video streams and combine them into one stream for the livestream channel, and we've decided to use Turntable.fm to handle the music for the stream so that everyone has a chance to contribute music they enjoy. Skype allows us to all chat and discuss things while we work as well. It's a really fun project so far and I hope things work out for it.

I should probably explain the basic idea behind the Art Jam sessions, basically We decided that it could provide some support for those of us who have trouble just sitting down and working on art. Because of the fun atmosphere it's much easier to get into an artistic mode and work on stuff. Also if we have any problems getting something to look right we're ready to offer each other support and advice on how to improve. It's supposed to be a project to improve creativity and improve abilities artistically while offering the opportunity to socialize on a regular basis. Currently there are no plans to limit who can join in and in fact we're interested in seeing who may be interested in joining us!

In order to join you'll just need x-split (free is good enough) and Skype. Turntable.fm is optional if you want to contribute to the playlist and is open to broadcasters / viewers so there's no shortage of music contributions. So far the plan is to have one scheduled weekly broadcast for Friday nights starting around 8 pm cst, However additional broadcasts can be started if anyone has time/interest in streaming together.

I look forward to this project and hope it not only helps nurture our creative spirit and makes us better artists, but also helps us meet new and interesting people to learn more about art from/with.
