Hey all, just wanted to let everyone know what's been going on and why I've been inactive/absent for awhile.

Put simply, my grandmother had a stroke, and I've been out of my way trying to do what I can to help her and my grandad through it; visiting her at the hospital, helping him with things at their place because of his bad back, etc, so I've had precious little time to get art or other work done. I'd also made the decision that I wouldn't be working on any art until we knew she would be alright, because if she weren't then any art I DID do at the time would always have been a constant reminder had the worst happened.

All things considered though, I just got home a few minutes ago from visiting, and she's doing very well; today she was able to speak properly, walk on her own, and she was in her own clothes instead of a hospital gown, which is an amazing improvement given how this time last week she was completely incoherent speaking nonsense, and her eyes had been so glazed over we'd been scared she might have gone blind. It was pretty scary stuff, seeing someone who's been strong as a rock all your life in a state like that.

But, things are on the mend, and she's getting better by the day, so I'll be going back to my usual routine fairly soon I hope.

As for art; pay-what-you-want commissions are open, trades and requests closed. Those already in line know what's been going on, so all is good there, and anyone new interested in some art off me are always welcome, since every little bit always helps.
