I think Easter is boring as hell.. and it's a completely useless holiday that just needs to go away altogether. so does Christmas its religious so it needs to go away... but unfortunately for me I was born next Christmas... to be honest I don't like any holiday except for Halloween and that's because of the day of the devil... I think this pathetic world needs more darkness... and I think that 99 percent of humanity need to stop worshipping a dumbass in the sky who does nothing for us.. God will not save you and neither will Jesus Christ.. I believe that Jesus Christ did exist but I don't agree the fact that he was God son he's an idiot. I think the man who created Christianity is a dumb fuck. you tell that I am very atheist can't you? so yeah God is dog shit to me. I think the devil is a fucking pussy, the fact I think it was kinda funny that Jesus was nailed to a piece of wood and then arrowed to death an tormented.. He probably deserved it for filling christians heads the bunch of bullshit lies. but hey I guess a bunch of stupid Christians need something to worship so they're pathetic lives are supposedly not going to waste, right? you know I really don't care if you want to cause drama on this journal for all this shit I'm completely atheism completely against God so hate me if you want I really don't give a fuck. this is what I feel in this is what I'm always going to think. hate me if you want I really don't care.

Well in reality Christmas, Easter and Halloween are all Pagan festivals. The egg and bunny are signs of fertility in paganism, most of the Christmas symbolism is taken from paganism, as well as the date. The cross is a pagan symbol (based on the Ankh in Egyptian religions). If Jesus existed he would more likely have been crucified on a stake or tree. They have Christian trappings as a result of Emperor Constantine of the Roman Empire wanting to unite the pagans and Christians to avoid a war. He made Christianity the official religion but it was agreed in, what was effectively a conference, what dates, symbols, etc would be used for this "new breed" of Christianity.

My enjoyment for these festivals boils down to Christmas - Presents and Easter - Chocolate. The exact things that they currently stand for; commercialism. Halloween is the same. All holidays are commercialised nonsense and have practically nothing to do with religion any more whatsoever.

So in essence, yes. Religion is something I have no intention of involving myself with whatsoever. But I do like Chocolate Easter eggs ;)

I like Easter because I get free chocolate. yes I know Halloween is not the day of the devil but that's how it was pushed on. yes I do know all those holidays are not exactly Christian and I know that they are pagan. what are mostly makes me mad about all these holidays is the fact that Christians practically ruined all of them. that's why I hate Christianity so much is because they ruin every little joy that there is in any holiday and make them all about Christianity which pisses me off. Christmas is a perfect example of this.

Well technically it was emperor Constantine who made the holidays Christian and he was actually a pagan. I am not a follower of any religion myself but I wouldn't say I hate a particular belief system. People ruin things, not religion in my eyes.

Sorry that you've not had much enjoyment as a result of religion.
I mean I could go on and why I disagree but something I learned was turning the other cheek and accepting.
Plus it would possibly turn out bad.
I'll accept and understand your pain and I'll even accept you could consider me an Idiot for believing in Christianity
But that won't have me change how I feel about you or anything similar, you have your beliefs and so do I.
So even if you certainly don't want it I do hope in someway your life gets better

and that's fine but you believe what you believe but like I said most Christians are stupid there's quite a few that I know that aren't stupid and kind of agree on how most Christians believe, that most of them over do what they do so like I said there's some Christians that I tolerate because they're cool you are my friend cherese are prime example of this. I will never hate you or her for believing in God or things like that. the kind of Christians I hate is the kind that push everything against you which I know way too many of those.. that's 1 of the reasons why I don't even believe in him anymore is because everything was pushed on to me so dang much that I practically don't even care about it anymore.. I hate religion for ruining everything for me and practically everything else in the world. but your still my friend so she in any other Christians that I consider cool. and I won't hate you or her or anyone else that aremmy friends for it.

Well, I was GOING to say it, but

pretty much hit the nail on the head X3 Christianity adopted its holidays at times when it was convenient for the world and drew up explanations later on to justify them. As a matter of fact, the idea of Santa Claus flying around on a sled pulled by eight reindeer on Christmas is a take on Odin riding an 8-legged horse named Sleipnir on the 25th of December for an annual hunt http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped.....g_Sleipnir.jpg They even created Santa Claus's appearance based on Odin himself, just gave it a nice little tweak.

So yes, I would argue that it is most certainly not a Christian holiday, but I don't begrudge the day at all. It's only ever given my family a reason to come together from around the country to see each other and strengthen bonds. And I love chocolate, which is extraordinarily ample on Easter :3

Something else I forgot to point out... Halloween is a pagan holiday as well, there is no devil involved, even in the Christian interpretation. Halloween simply marks the day before Christians would praise the saints and honor the dead. It is a day that precedes a holy time from the Christian viewpoint, so why it is in any sense considered a day of the devil is absolutely beyond me. The reason people go around in costume and ask "Trick or treat?" is a continuation of Celtic guising, which was a Scottish and Irish youth tradition that had no "unholy" implications of any kind. Americans have only been doing it since the early 1900's, but I suppose that supplies a good sum of time for religious nuts to twist the whole thing as "evil" and "iconic" and all that other noise.

It serves to me the same purpose as Easter and Christmas do; I get stuff, I give stuff, and I have fun with family and friends.

this is exactly how I think of Christmas and Easter and all the rest of those bullshit holidays that Christians ruined. they just put everything wrong about all those holidays that we're all obviously pagan to begin with, Evan completely telling everyone bullshit lies of what they're not supposed to be anything about and have a practically ruined everything about them. that's why I think Christianity so stupid because it ruined everything..

Halloween can stay, it's a powerful day for me and in all honesty the darkness surrounding the holiday I find fun, amusing, and interesting. The commercialism for it can go though.
