I think (just based on observation) Iron Artist is an artist taking on a bunch of "wing it" sketch commissions where all the buyer provides is a character and the artist comes up with a pose and outfit and all that. Usually the goal seems to be fifty total. Most people take them in batches of ten and at a somewhat reduced price from their usual sketches.

The goal is to come up ideas for all these sketches, so it kind of forces creativity. And, of course, to finish that many sketches (I never could!)
