Photoshop question and 23,424 left

Hey there everyone who reads this >.> ...Anyone?
Anyways, i was wondering if anyone knew any good tutorials for coloring things that are Translucent in photoshop. Most of the tutorials i have are for rain drops x.x Or one about goo would be good too...
Anyone know how to use painter? i fumble through it sometimes, but i don't have a tablet, so it's a bit pointless i suppose.. >.>
On a different note, down to 23,424 Submissions left to go through. Not bad since two weeks ago i was at almost 32,000. Plus, now I'm now in submissions from THIS YEAR! yay!
