ok so i have been doing this for like 4 time now and was thinking this dose take alot of time ( when doing like 2 or 6!) and i have not made much money with commissions. (not saying i dont have any listed) just im doing all this nice stuff for nothing and i hate to ask but i like to add one more thing to the rules or some thing to keep in mind, ill take tips if i make a pic for you, YOU DONT HAVE TO if you cant but if you can it will help me in my living, lke eating romon and kool-aid that not to heathy, for some thing heathyer ( just one of meany thing it would help in) if i made a pic for you you can tip me $5 to what ever you think you like to give me ( paying more will not be a free way of geting another pic from me, so if you have that reason in mind do tip)

It isn't rude at all.
I say they should be random cheap sketches you allow people to buy instead of freebies but you're too nice haha!
On a sidenote, kinda itching to see more of that nick idea pitch, but I know such will come in good time. Thanks for sharing what you did so far though. Was intriguing to look and ponder the plot.
If I may give some advice; finish off your commissions, get them out of the way, and you can get more payed work in. If money is an issue for your 'personal finances' as you state, then stop doing freebies, clean out your commission list, and start taking more. With your talent and popularity you can easily make $100-$200 a day.
10 Commission slots a week, a single YCH auction every few weeks, and you're quickly making yourself a reliable income.
Start taking in mature/adult commissions and you will double, triple, even quadruple that amount overnight.

I'd have to agree Tsuki there. While I do take free requests sometimes, I don't open up until I've finished a good amount of commissions and I only do sketches most of the time to keep myself from wearing out.
Streaming commissions might also get you more customers! I've found that that worked for me, also be very active on your account. upload commissions more often.
It's very generous of you doing free stuff, but honestly, you need to do something to help yourself out first. Freebies can wait. I was very surprised to see that you do fully colored freebies XDD (and to see that you are doing mine when I said that you didn't have to since you had like 400+ people asking for requests.)
