Unfortunately in order to do that I would have to:
-Sell the PS3 which is mine AND my brother's, and all of our games.
-SAve up the rest of the money (Which would be at least $1100)
-figure out what to buy for a good gaming PC
-figure out how to work a gaming PC
-buy all of the games i had for PS3 on the new PC (And some are probably restricted to ps3 like Twisted Metal)

And of course by the time I could do all of that i would have to upgrade it =P

Gaming PC's do not cost that much. Mine only cost $500 and its still good. Have yet to run into a game it cant handle well.

My laptop was $500 and it can't even run minecraft smoothly ;-; I might consider getting one when i get some money if they're actually simple to figure out. Any suggestions?

In order to save money you have to build one, and a btw laptops will always be more expensive and less powerful because smaller parts plus the screen.

And even if you dont build one, unless you are buying some really mad priced alienware or something. They arent $1100 it would be more around $700

well how did you build it?

you go on a site like new egg and buy all the parts, processor, ram, hard drive, case, motherboard, power supply, graphics card. Then when they all come in the mail, you take them and you put it together piece by piece. Doesn't take too long really. But the reason why that's cheaper is because you decide what you want in your computer, you get the parts at the manufacturers price, and then you don't have to pay for the labor to put it together.

o.o I feel like I would get all the parts and just die... Is there a way to just upgrade the computer I have? Like replace the processor and hard drive and etc?

laptops cost alot more to get custom stuff for, and is more of a hassle and sometimes impossible to do. also you cant really do too much with already built computers, plus if you were to upgrade all that stuff, your computer would explode if it didnt have a better power supply.

well there's no way i'd be able to build one one my own. I obviously can't even back up my PS3 on my own =P

Remember, no one and nothing is perfect. Sure, it may suck when you get a computer virus, your car breaks down or your gaming console doesn't work, but it's not the end of the world. Although we all do it, it makes no sense to get mad at something we have no control over. Just grin and bear it.

That's a fun and great but when you spend money on something that you can't even use it get's pretty aggravating. I'm wasting so much money already and now I have a new 500GB hard drive that I can't use for shit, a new PS3 game (plus two extensions of an old one) that I can't use until I CAN use the new hard drive, and a now useless external hard drive which I was supposed to use to back up my PS3. I get what your saying but to me that's like saying we shouldn't be upset of the holocaust or 9/11 just because we can't go back in time to stop them. If you don't get angry or upset over things then you're not going to try to fix them. The reason we haven't seen another holocaust yet is because we're still upset over the last one and taking every precaution to avoid another. So if I get upset over the misery technology is bringing me then I'm going to try and fix it. And like I said in the journal I'm sorry for whining so much but I have to get this shit off of my chest. I already have REAL problems eating me alive, so I have to deal with the first-world problems right away before they eat at me too =P

Ouch, that sucks. At least you have money, though. I've been having financial problems on and off for about 8 years now and they've been pretty bad for the past 3 years or so. Let me tell you something: bad financial problems and tons of student loans don't go together too well. XD

I've been using my savings bonds for college for everything for at least two months now. everything from food and clothes to text books and technology. My brother and I were lucky enough to get the new harddrive as an easter present, and we each got $25 amazon gift cards from our aunt which will partially cover the cost of the external hard drive we need

Almost wasn't. The only one I could find wasn't available in amazon , which would have rendered my gift cards useless... Now I'm gonna have to take my chances with one that doesn't say it's specifically designed for ps3
