I am continually amazed not only at how openly sexual Fandom is, and how much we actually KNOW about it! We know more about sex and the psychology of it just from experience than actual psychologists do. We know how to do it right, and do it safe. We know a lot about how to please each other, and with no shame (No one needs shame). But how much does Fandom actually know about love? I see a lot of other Furries who are sexually compatible, and really know how to go to town on one another, but once it moves beyond that it falls apart. I know a lot of older Furries who, naturally, have the wisdom that comes along with age and experience, but in the young Fandom (the majority) relationships seem to revolve around sex and not involve much else. People get together sexually, then move beyond that into a relationship, and I see it fall apart over and over. This is natural though as Furries are young and being young is about living. It comes with taking stupid risks, and blowing up over stupid small problems. But it does make those of us who look for love, not just sex, have to look harder to find someone to last and help us carry the burden of our inner ideals. I think more than knowledge, we need maturity, not that we aren't doing ok the way we are. Go have fun, be young. We lovers will be here when you burn out and grow into yourselves.
