Oh yeah, I've been meaning to mention (and I don't know if anyone's already told you this), but if you ever plan on doing any actual PvP against real people, you should stop doing bot games soon. It will teach you incredibly bad habits that will get you in trouble in a real game; and if you're used to doing them, it'll be that much harder to shake them. It also completely removes the threat of an enemy jungler, which is a huge factor in a real game.

Well, there's a lot of little nuances that there's no way I could go over all in here, but the big 2 main pieces of advice are: 1. focus on your mistakes, not your teammates and 2.Have a positive attitude. Next time we play we can use skype or whatever, because it's quicker/easier to talk rather than type. Also, here's a link/info dump:

Garin's a pretty solid character,some say OP,for cheap. Run a game a day and you'll have enough to buy him after a week or so.
